SS IPTV: How It Works on Samsung and LG Smart TVs
Quick Answer
SS IPTV is a free third-party player for Samsung and LG Smart TVs. Instead of typing a long playlist link with the remote, you get a connection code in the app's settings, enter it on the developer's website, and upload or link your M3U playlist there; it then appears on the TV. If SS IPTV isn't listed in your TV's app store, Smart IPTV or a streaming stick are the usual alternatives. SS IPTV isn't affiliated with Xtreme HD IPTV.
Key Points
- Built for Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) Smart TVs.
- Playlists are linked through a connection code and the developer's web editor.
- Works with M3U playlists; it doesn't use Xtream Codes logins directly.
- Availability varies by TV model, year and region.
- Smart IPTV is the closest alternative; a streaming stick gives the widest choice.
Samsung and LG TVs have closed app stores, so only a few IPTV players are available on them. SS IPTV is one of the long-standing options in that small group.
How SS IPTV Links a Playlist
- Install SS IPTV from Samsung Smart Hub or the LG Content Store.
- Open the app's settings and generate a connection code.
- On a computer or phone, open the developer's playlist editor and enter the code.
- Add your M3U playlist link (or upload the file) and save.
- Return to the TV; the playlist appears in the app.

If SS IPTV Isn't Available on Your TV
App listings vary by TV model, software version and country. Search your TV's store first. If neither SS IPTV nor Smart IPTV is available, plugging in a Fire TV Stick or Google TV device gives you access to the full range of IPTV players.
